Festive Pasta

Who says holiday eating has to be heavy eating? This pasta is perfect as a lighter cheesy dish packed with flavor!

Servings: 6
Cooking Time: about 16 minutes (if cooking pasta and crumbles at the same time, then Follow Your Heart cheese after pasta and crumbles)

INGREDIENTS
1 package Beyond Meat Beef Crumbles (Beefy flavor)
500 g colorful pasta
1 package Follow Your Heart slices (American)
2 tbs avocado oil

Seasoning for Crumbles:
2 tsp Chef Paul Prudhomme Blackened Redfish Magic Seasoning
3/4 tsp Trader Joe’s umami seasoning
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp onion powder
1/8 tsp cayenne pepper
1/8 tsp ground black pepper

INSTRUCTIONS
Crumbles: cooking time 5 minutes
Set stove to medium high heat.
Add 2 tbs avocado oil to hot cast iron skillet.
Add Beyond Meat crumbles and lower skillet to medium.
Let çook and stir occasionally.
After 2 minutes, add seasoning and stir.
After 2.5 minutes since adding seasoning, add another 1 tsp of cajun seasoning, stir, and turn off stove. Keep stirring for 30 seconds.

Pasta: cooking time 6.5 minutes
Add pasta to boiling water.
After 2.5 minutes, add 5-7 dashes of salt.
After another 2 minutes, add 5-7 dashes of salt.
Cook for another 2 minutes or until al dente. Turn off stove and drain pasta.
Add pasta to a large serving dish.

Cheese: cooking time 9 minutes
Break into pieces the entire package of Follow Your Heart slices.
Set stove to medium heat.
Add 1 cup water and pieces of Follow Your Heart cheese into pot.
After about 2 minutes when the cheese starts getting softer, break apart the cheese with your cooking utensil and keep stirring.
BE CARFEUL! The cheese starts boiling and popping/splattering out of the pot.
After stirring for another 3 minutes, set stove to low heat and simmer and stir for 4 minutes or until a thick milky consistency. Turn off stove.

SERVING DISH
Pour cheese over pasta and mix. Then add crumbles and mix. Ready to eat! Bon apppétit!
